Past august 14th and 15th took place at Universidad de Palermo (UP), Buenos Aires, the TECTEA 2015 meeting, which was about technology applied to improve the quality of life of those suffering Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
It was attended by international professionals, who shared the last novelties, research and experiences, with the objective of improving actual tools, helping to spread its benefits for their rapid incorporation into classrooms along educative and clinical centers.
Our app iSequences had presence there, by the hand of Felisa Gaston, who shared with all the attendants her personal and professional experience using iSequences for the gaming and learning sessions that she enjoys with her son Nacho.
iSequences is an educative app for tablet devices, specially designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Asperger Syndrome, but it gets really fun for children in general.
The app is based on short stories played in sequence format, starred by six funny characters. The kid puts the story in the right order (among other tasks) while working on 4 general areas: Autonomous habits, funny events or activities, everyday situations, and emotions.
iSequences has achieved great success since its release, thanks to support of Fundació punt CAT, reaching nowadays almost 300.000 downloads, plus currently finishing its translation into one more language, upon request from our users.
